Anna Nalick is a multi-platinum selling singer-songwriter from California whose music has touched millions worldwide. She burst onto the scene in 2004 with her debut album Wreck of the Day, featuring the smash hit single “Breathe (2AM)”. The song’s success propelled the album up the charts and launched Nalick into a nearly five-year global tour. Along the way, she scored additional hits such as “Shine” before setting out on her own path as an independent artist.
In 2011, Nalick released her first independent record, Broken Doll & Odds & Ends—a deeply personal, mostly acoustic collection of songs written during her Columbia years. Selling over 30,000 copies in its first month, the album gave her the freedom to step back from touring, return to school at UCLA for creative writing, and work with Los Angeles Playhouse West as a writer and actor. By 2014, she was back on the road, and in 2017 she unveiled At Now, a self-produced project blending acoustic folk and spacey electronic textures, exploring themes of loss, renewal, and resilience.
Her 2019 release, The Blackest Crow, pushed boundaries once again. Recorded entirely live in one day at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Manhattan using Chesky Records’ innovative binaural recording technique, the album reimagines songs spanning 150 years—from the 1850s to the 1990s—each chosen to reflect humanity’s complex relationship with time. The result is a hauntingly beautiful conceptual collection showcasing Nalick’s signature honesty and emotional depth.
With new material always in the works, including a sixth self-produced studio album on the horizon, Anna Nalick continues to captivate audiences with her raw storytelling, fearless artistry, and timeless voice that first made her a global favorite.
