April Kry & The Woods
“She sings with powerhouse conviction.” – Robert K. Oermann
“Tiny girl, big voice.” That’s the label April Kry has carried since childhood—and one she continues to embody on every stage. At just five years old, she began her musical journey singing in church alongside her father and sister. Her soulful voice quickly caught the attention of industry icons like Jermaine Jackson of The Jackson 5, Nile Rodgers, and even Enya, whom she later supported as a backup singer on Live! With Regis & Kelly.
After moving to Nashville to pursue music full time, April discovered her passion for songwriting. She began collaborating with some of country music’s most respected writers, including Stephanie Bentley (“Breathe” – Faith Hill, “Concrete Angel” – Martina McBride) and Blair Daly (“Clock Don’t Stop” – Carrie Underwood, “You Should Be Loved” – Hunter Hayes). Her circle and reputation grew quickly.
April’s debut single “Fireflies” broke into the Top 30 on The Highway and hit #1 on Radio Disney. Her song “I Feel At Home”, written with Blair Daly, has earned more than 4 million Spotify streams—a remarkable achievement for an independent artist. Blending country, blues, and pop with lyrics that cut deep, April delivers a sound as unique as it is powerful.
With a voice beyond her years and songs that resonate across genres, April Kry is proving that this “tiny girl with a big voice” is a rising force in modern music.
