Roots & Influences
Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Anthony’s love for music began early, absorbing the sounds of Muddy Waters, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, and Eddie Van Halen. By age 14, he was inseparable from his guitar, developing the firepower that would later define his sound.
Breakthrough & Mentorship
In 2005, after impressing B.B. King’s own bus driver at a jam session, Gomes was introduced to the King of the Blues himself, who invited Anthony to open a string of tour dates. The mentorship and knowledge gained during this period became a cornerstone of his career.
Since then, he’s shared the stage with Buddy Guy, Robert Plant, Joe Bonamassa, Heart, Sammy Hagar, Kenny Wayne Shepherd and many others. His audiences have even included fans like Morgan Freeman, John Goodman, Vince Vaughn, and Eric Clapton.
